I’m not back, I’m better.

Re-emerging After Maternity Leave

Right now, while the little dude sleeps, my soundtrack of nap times is the Olympics. I’m taking inspo from powerful women with boundless energy and resilience like Sha'Carri Richardson. Those who keep getting up and out, who keep backing themselves, who lean on their support systems, who do what needs to get done with grace and spirit.

And to quote Sha’Carri, on my first month officially 'back' from maternity leave:

I’ve spent the last year celebrating who I am, burning some versions of me to the ground, and re-emerging as someone new in many ways. As I'm learning, parenthood will do that to you. It’s the most profound reckoning I’ve experienced, and the learnings don’t stop knocking on my door.

As a growth strategist, advisor, and coach, I’m bringing a whole new level of empathy, understanding, focus, strategy, and thoughtfulness to my work., thanks to motherhood.

As a founder who’s building a collective of incredible strategists, coaches, facilitators, and guides, I’m acutely aware of how important our work is. Now more than ever, empowering leaders to drive change with confidence is critical. Leading change is tough, and today’s leaders are facing real challenges.

I’ve been joyfully challenged by a few incredible projects in the last year with some inspiring folks. Most recently, I’m most proud to say I’ve joined the Advisory Board with Sisterhood, and just wrapped up teaching a workshop to 20 entrepreneurial changemakers during Sisterhood Summer.

I’ve loved integrating my own learnings from the past, while diving deep into new learnings about what’s needed now to support leaders to drive meaningful change.

My doors are open to new opportunities, partnerships, and mind-opening work with other curious leaders.

Parents are superheroes, and I’m proud to say I’ve joined the team. I’m not back from maternity leave, I’m better because of it.

Let's get to work.
